yeah so if youre reading this, you already know that ive been here on the big island for a little while know.. not quite 2 years.. and let me tell you, it felt like 3 seconds. goddam those two years felt quick.
i'm starting to pack up my room, and i'm not even close to finishing.
i bought a bunch of cd's yesterday from my gift certificate to boarders. i won a hundred dollars for my "japanese studies graduate of excelence award". i think they thought i would buy books, but what they didnt know was that i'm a music/cd whore. so i had to sell my self to tunes. i got the two newest kachafire (had to buy something island style for when i'm in japan even though they are from a far away island). both alchamy index's by thrice (finally), the new killers cd (not bad), and nofx's coaster cd.. because john said it was good.
i havnt heard them all yet, but so far i like what i hear.
my mom just left back for japan this morning. it was great having her out. my mom always ends up getting me a bunch of stuff and paying for everything. i feel bad, but i guess that's the nature of mom's huh?
oh yeah! i found a disposable camera that ive been carrying around for how many years.. i decided to get it developed... it was a trip. five years of my life was documented in there. places and people i can barely remember came flooding back after seeing those pics.
it goes from when i first moved away from hawaii in CA, to before i left CA, to australia, back to hawaii.. it's NUTS. the last picture was hilarious. it was when me and chad were living together in makiki. i came home one day and that fucker was laying down in my room reading one of my books, no shirt on, sprawled out in my bed like a fucking bum acting like my bed was his. i had to take a picture of it to document how bad of a roommate chad was. (not that i was the best roommate)
i'm waiting for my ride to honaunau.. theyre here now.

lots and lots of driving

so ive woken up ass early every morning feeling like shit. pretty much this is how i feel about the AM.

but i get to see nice things like lava going into the ocean

ive filled my gas tank four times this week. my face explains how much i like to spend all my money on fuel.

we went to the fourth annual hilo pow wow.. it was really nice. very native american

got to see a sunset at around 14000 feet. at 20 degrees and no air. fuck it was cold


my car somehow made it up there.

i went to a stupid hat convention.
it was goofy. and hot. but worth it


they made me walk across a stage. the sash is my phi alpha theta (historical honors society) and the cord is for graduating with honors.

my mom came out. she's still here. it's good to have her around.

the guy in the middle is a good friend and he won professor of the year award at UHHilo. the other guy is a good friend from VA. he played the hat game too.
